Watercolor is a versatile and exciting medium that can be used for sketching, plein air (outdoor) studies and finished work. The transparent nature of watercolor requires planning and practice with techniques and a variety of materials. With these building blocks you can begin to master the media and enjoy its fluid nature.

This course is suitable for beginning as well as experienced painters.  Some drawing experience is recommended but not required. Students will be exposed to a variety of approaches to watercolor, allowing for individual progress.

This isn’t just a painting party –  you’ll be working with clay. Students will cut forms from wet clay, use stamps and other tools to create textures and text, and add color with underglaze. The studio will fire and glaze the work and return it to you in a few weeks so that you can bring your handmade cheer home for the holidays! It will be a memorable experience leaving you with cherished keepsakes that will adorn your home for years to come. The class is suitable for adults and children 8 and older accompanied by an adult. All experience levels are welcome.
